Introduction

SkinAnalyze is a mobile application designed to help users analyze cosmetic product ingredients and better understand skincare products.

Information We Collect

The application may process the following information.

Location Data

The app may optionally access your device location during product scanning in order to:

  • improve scan context

  • display city or regional information

  • support future location-based cosmetic insights

Location access is optional and used only while scanning.

The app does not use background location tracking.

Ingredient Images

Users may scan cosmetic ingredient labels using the device camera.

Images are processed locally on the device and are not uploaded or stored on external servers.

Ingredient Text Analysis

Text extracted from ingredient labels may be sent to third-party AI services for analysis.

This may include:

  • ingredient names

  • INCI ingredient lists

  • product-related text entered by the user

The application currently uses:

No user account or personal identity information is attached to ingredient analysis requests.

Barcode and Product Lookup

When scanning product barcodes, the app may send barcode data to external product databases in order to identify cosmetic products.

  • barcode number (EAN/UPC)

The application currently uses:

Location Name Services

If location access is enabled, geographic coordinates may be processed to retrieve a city or location name.

The application currently uses:

Only the minimum required location information is used.

Scan History

Scan history is stored locally on the user’s device only.

Users may delete scan history at any time through the app settings using the “Clear History” feature.

No cloud synchronization is currently used.

User Accounts

SkinAnalyze does not require account registration.

The app currently does not support:

  • user accounts

  • login systems

  • social authentication

Advertising and Tracking

The current version of the app:

  • does not use third-party advertising networks

  • does not track users across apps or websites

  • does not sell personal data to third parties

GDPR and User Rights

Users located in the European Union have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

  • the right to access their data

  • the right to request deletion of locally stored data

  • the right to restrict processing

Because most data is stored locally on the device, users can remove stored history directly within the application settings.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect application data and communications.

However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

This application is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
